Awkwardness in Azerbaijan

An interview has surfaced from Ilham Aliyev, the president of the country of Azerbaijan. It’s by a reporter from the BBC, and is noteworthy for the hypocrisy and double-standards on display. He could be a ruthless dictator, but maybe things aren’t entirely what they appear to be. The president certainly makes some good points in this piece. The “journalist” was inquiring about his administration’s policies regarding censorship and freedom of the press, and this is what he had to say:
