DC & Double Standards

Welcome to another edition of ‘Deep Thought Thursday!’ We started an hour early today, but Mike was all fired up about all the double standard insanity in the world today. The concept of ‘Law and Order’ was regressing significantly, and being applied much differently these days. Especially when it came to skin tones and political points of view. For example, if you were a white cop that killed a black gang member… even accidentally, even if they had a criminal record, illegal weapons, outstanding warrants for their arrest, and actually OD’d in the process of resisting… then it might as well have been a death by a white supremacist lynching as far as some people were concerned. Even from those in the corporate media!

There would be a mob outside your house, and calls for your arrest. Riots, looting and burning down buildings. The facts and due process didn’t matter anymore, because racism. On the flip side, a black cop shot a white woman at the Capitol protest on January 6th. Her name was Ashli Babbit, but the cop that shot her is still kept secret. However, there were two brown men next to her filming with cameras. One was a credentialed journalist and Trump supporter from a well-known alternative news outlet. The other was a radical agitator pretending to be a Trump supporter in order to make them look bad. One man was paid $70,000 for his video footage and has a book deal. The other man had his home raided by 30 Federal agents, and is facing 7 years in prison! How is that for a double standard?
