Jim Crow Baseball Boycott?

Major League Baseball has given into the demands of radical “progressive” activists and “woke” corporations to relocate their ‘All-Star Game‘ away from Atlanta this summer. They are switching venues in retaliation to new voting laws that were passed in the State of Georgia recently. Coincidentally, those new laws were enacted as a response to massive voting fraud issues and irregularities from 2020. Fulton County especially, which shoved the state squarely under the spotlight of the entire country! Burst pipes, boxes under tables and an abundance of other anomalies that still haven’t been explained to this day.

Regardless of whether there was fraud or not, the Government of the State of Georgia decided to act in light of this embarrassment. To ensure their election integrity and prevent further problems in the future. Their solutions seemed fairly reasonable and straight-forward on the surface. However, there has been substantial backlash in fact, including reckless accusations of racism and comparisons to appalling ‘Jim Crow’ laws from another era!

Wow, so what were all of these ‘evil white supremacists’ proposing that was so outrageous? Basically, they called for an increase in transparency, security and for requiring an ID. Does that sound like racist voter suppression? Or relatively reasonable common sense? Regardless, it has set off a kind of leftist hornet’s nest. It also included the Atlanta-based CEO of Delta Airlines who was not impressed. Except that didn’t make any sense because you need an ID to board one of his airplanes! Or to proceed through the TSA checkpoints and most of the airport. It also turns out that you need an ID to pick up your tickets to a baseball game. You also need an ID to buy beer and alcohol in the concession areas. But requiring an ID to vote was now considered racist?

But let’s take a look at the logic of Keith Olbermann, since he is both a baseball analyst and unabashed progressive activist. He used to be a respectable journalist, but that was almost 15 years ago in the past. Keith has bounced around a bit because of his tendency to create toxic work environments. That’s not surprising, since most of his unhinged political rants make him sound like he belongs in a straitjacket.

He’s toned it down a tad, but here is the latest take from the ‘Olbermann Android 9000’ on this heated ‘MLB vs Georgia’ dispute:

There you have it, and now that Keith has had his way, he is following up to call for a boycott of the Master’s Golf Tournament because it’s ‘racist,’ and in Georgia, and also ‘apartheid!’ Does Olbermann really have a point to make in all of his madness? Can these ‘oppressive’ new voting atrocities be justified in any way? Let’s take a look at a couple of graphics on this…

Okay, you’ve seen both sides now. Did Major League Baseball get it right with their decision? Or did they crumble under the pressure of ‘woke’ progressivism? Are these laws really about racism? Or are they basic common sense? There are calls for boycotts on both sides of this one, now how are we going to resolve this mess?
