Note: This episode’s publishing was intentionally delayed for a week for two reasons. The first issue was the translation of Putin’s speech, because it’s very difficult to find an accurate and timely version. That said, we apparently had inadvertently reported the incorrect interpretation. The real speech was also relatively hardcore in its content, but wasn’t quite as hyperbolic. We were not the only ones to make this mistake, and it took some time to diagnose this dilemma since none of us are fluent in Russian. The second issue was that this since debunked translation did not originate from me. I think Mike assumed we were both looking at the same script, and I was unable to follow along because of my bandwidth limitations. Anyway, had to clear out this controversy for the record and will officially blame everything on effects of Mercury Retrograde. Other than that, it was still a stellar show and worthy of the archive.
