Today’s musical post features a live and lively jam from enigmatic Italian guitarist Ivan Graziani. It has all the makings of a smash single, but it’s unlikely that it made the American airwaves back in 1978. Consider it a lost classic that you likely haven’t heard yet. It was suggested to me by Spotify last week, and it hasn’t left my head since. Also coincidental that Italy has been in the news in a big way lately.
The song is about the theft of the famous Mona Lisa. Please see video below for the drunken details.
2025 update: The original video I had here was removed by YouTube. Therefore I have decided to replace it with 3 alternative versions. A live performance similar to the original one, a 2nd studio version (without a video) and finally a cover version from a newer band playing and paying tribute to the legend himself.
1st version (live)
2nd Version (studio)
3rd version (cover by EFFEMME)
Bonus video: Drunk History about the Mona Lisa!
