Tuesday night, October 20. Mike Bara hosts Real News Live from Las Vegas with Dr. Brooks Agnew fresh from the polls in North Carolina, “Trail Boss” Steve Doran on a dark 68-degree Arkansas porch with a cigar and a yerba mate, and yours truly broadcasting from the new Minnesota man cave (Paul Bunyan, Babe the Blue Ox and Trail Boss rye included). France burns through a weekend of rioting, Christina Applegate learns she never had MS, the panel goes to war over veganism, Jalen Hurts’ blood clots end his season, Zelensky loses Starlink speed and tells Piers Morgan about it, and Sen. Elissa Slotkin sends a “deterrence message” two weeks before the midterms.

Welcome to Toxically Masculine Tuesday. Each guy’s opinions are his own. This is a roundtable, not a party line, and we do argue. Going after named rioters, politicians and ideologies is not a verdict on any religion or people as a class. Allegations aren’t convictions, and questions aren’t accusations. We are not medical doctors; nothing here is medical advice. I date theories. I don’t marry them.

Topics on This Episode of Toxically Masculine Tuesday:

• Roll call and the cold open: Mike ribs me about my Vikings and the new man cave, and Steve explains Mike’s recurring nightmare about guns with no ammo. (Cops and operators get it all the time. It means get to the range.)
• France is burning. Mike plays footage from a weekend of rioting, looting and arson in Paris and other cities, and the panel debates who’s behind it and what the fix is: deportations, the military, armed citizens. Brooks warns the same thing could follow a GOP sweep here. French authorities have arrested more than 2,500 people; the unrest grew out of student and cost-of-living protests, and Macron has blamed ultra-left fringe groups.
• “I voted for you.” The viral clip of a woman confronting rioters, Trump saying he warned Macron to close his borders, Marine Le Pen’s 2027 chances, and France’s nuclear arsenal. Then I get the hot seat as the panel’s resident liberal: I say vet people on whether they work, speak the language and assimilate. The guys say skip the interview.
• Christina Applegate says she was misdiagnosed with MS. Mike reads posts from people speculating about causes, from COVID and the shots to her near-vegan diet, and Brooks talks fenbendazole and ivermectin. Applegate’s doctors have not named a cause for her symptoms. She hasn’t blamed one either.
• The diet wars. Mike floats an official government warning against vegan diets. Steve is nine months into carnivore and down 45 pounds. Brooks wants a little of everything (and regularity). My take: every body is different, find what works, and please don’t put your cat on a vegan diet.
• Jalen Hurts’ blood clots. The Eagles QB is out for the season with deep vein thrombosis and clots in both lungs after playing in London. Mike walks through the timeline, the sleep reports and the injury report, and asks whether the betting markets were affected. Steve and Brooks weigh in on doctors, vaccines and whether anyone will be held accountable. No one has been charged with anything, and the NFL has defended the Eagles’ handling. The NFLPA has called for a full investigation, and the team says Hurts is expected to make a full recovery.
• Piers Morgan, Zelensky and Starlink. Zelensky tells Piers that throttling Ukraine’s Starlink terminals will cost lives. Musk says the U.S. military controls the limits. The panel argues the history of Crimea and the Donbas, Whitley Strieber’s post, NATO, the B-1s leaving RAF Fairford, and whether it’s time to cut Ukraine loose. Then Zelensky’s own words on holding elections after a 60-day ceasefire.
• Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s “deterrence message.” At a University of Chicago event, the Michigan Democrat said she wants “signature cases” against people who enabled Trump, so that young grads think twice about working for his administration. The panel calls it a declaration of war on Trump world. Brooks reports packed early-voting lines in Catawba County, and I close with the classical liberal take: political retribution and blackballing careers have no place in America.
