America’s Greatest Ally Just Flunked the Friendship Test

Washington treats “greatest ally” like a loyalty oath you can’t question without catching a smear. I’m not buying the blank-check theology. An alliance is supposed to benefit both countries — and if it doesn’t, stop calling it friendship and start calling it captivity with better branding.

Last night on The Gonzo Lounge I chased the receipts: Google Maps rubble in Gaza that finally punched through the euphemism filter, Netanyahu working a walkout-thinned UN hall, Ireland refusing a handshake, contested October 7 warning reports, and midterms that feel like choosing which corporate parent keeps the kids.

I’m not a “serious journalist.” I am serious about receipts — and changing my mind when they change. Criticism of the Israeli government, American foreign policy, and lobby influence is not antisemitism and it is not an attack on Judaism. Hold that line or don’t bother watching.
