Question: Is there some kind of limit on how far ‘left’ that a ‘leftist’ will ‘go left’ before they realize that things have finally gone too ‘far left’ for them to accept?
Recently, ‘slightly-right’ Senator Rand Paul asked what appeared to be some fairly reasonable, important and straightforward questions on Capitol Hill. They were directed at Dr. Rachel LeVine, the nominee for Assistant Health Secretary of the United States. As it turns out, ‘she’ happens to hold some very radical and controversial views on ‘transgenderism,’ an extraordinarily complicated issue full of risky, life-altering consequences.
The problem however, is that ‘Rachel’ is technically ‘transgender’ and those on ‘the left’ may interpret Rand’s line of questioning as inappropriate, outrageous and ‘transphobic.’ On the other side of the spectrum, those on ‘the right’ may view those very same questions as fundamental, unavoidable and ‘common sense.’
