New French Revolution?

Today is “Bastille Day,” the most important National Holiday of France. The origin of this “French Festival of the Federation“ began on July 14, 1789. That was the beginning of the French Revolution, when angry citizens stormed the Bastille Fortress, a strategic armory and political prison run by the Monarchy. Unlike January 6th however, it was a real insurrection with real guillotines. It probably went too far at times, but one year later the people of France had found new freedoms and had a new form of government that included a Constitution.

Now it was 2021, and the new Ruling Class of France has called for mandatory injections for all health care workers with the experimental COVID-19 vaccine! President Macron is also requiring all people to comply with a “Health Passport,” digitally documented “proof” that they are vaccinated or have tested negatively very recently. It sets an audacious new precedent for anyone that would like to participate in previously normal activities in public spaces again. The new policy seemed extraordinarily outrageous, especially considering the risks of adverse effects, up to and including death. Were the French people really going to put up with this nonsense?
