“Better Damn Well Stop”: Columbus Day, Zelensky’s Diesel Strikes, the Omar Search and the UFO Man Who Won’t Blink

Tuesday night, October 13, the day after Columbus Day. Mike Bara hosts from Las Vegas with Dr. Brooks Agnew in the Carolinas (RX-7 headed to the dyno), “Trail Boss” Steve Doran hiding from the 88-degree Arkansas heat indoors, and yours truly pouring a pirate rum from the Lickety Split in Nashville. Columbus Day turns into a no-holds-barred history fight, Trump tells Zelensky he’d “better damn well stop” hitting Russian refineries, federal agents search Ilhan Omar’s D.C. home, Dr. Phil weighs in on the Cornell case, an ex-intelligence official tells Bret Baier we’re not alone, and the internet loses its mind over Susan Dell’s face.

Welcome to Toxically Masculine Tuesday. Each guy’s opinions are his own. This is a roundtable, not a party line, and some of tonight’s takes went well past where I’d go. Criticizing a culture, a government program or a named politician is not a verdict on any people as a class. A search warrant isn’t a charge, and a charge isn’t a conviction. I date theories. I don’t marry them.

Topics on This Episode of Toxically Masculine Tuesday:

• Columbus Day vs. Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Why Columbus sailed west in the first place (the Ottoman choke point on the old trade routes), then a clip of Sitting Bull and a cavalry officer arguing over who took whose land first. The panel goes hard at the “peaceful natives” myth, reservation aid and the Black Hills Pow Wow’s 7th Cavalry flag reenactment. My take: you can debate how Columbus treated people, but somebody was going to show up, the tribes were already at war with each other, and disease did as much as any army.
• Trump vs. Zelensky over the Russian diesel deal. The U.S. eased sanctions to bring Russian diesel to market, Ukraine kept hitting Russian refineries, and Trump said Zelensky “better damn well stop” and that it’s “time for Ukraine to get a new president.” Should he go? I say defying the U.S. on fuel prices crosses a line. Brooks says Kyiv is a puppet of a “global syndicate” and the British crown, and Mike runs his central-bank “last holdouts” theory. I raise the engineered-crisis question and note the deal itself is small: reportedly only a couple of days of U.S. diesel.
• Gas tax holidays. North Carolina suspends its 41-cent state gas tax (through Nov. 30), and Brooks says the price gap between stations tells you who’s passing the savings along.
• Ilhan Omar’s D.C. home searched. Homeland Security Investigations executed a judge-approved warrant on Columbus Day in what DOJ calls an ongoing criminal probe, reportedly over her family’s immigration paperwork, 22 days before the midterms. Brooks calls it a RICO case with concurrent raids in Minnesota. Steve says she’ll be deported before she’s imprisoned and calls for barring dual citizens from office. My take: maybe it’s a real October surprise, but I’ll hold my doubts until there’s an arrest. Omar has not been officially charged with anything and says she won’t be silenced.
• Cornell follow-up: Dr. Phil does blood-alcohol math and says she couldn’t consent. Mike points to her texts. I bring the bartender’s view of BAC, Steve explains why an ex-cop wouldn’t bring charges when the first statement said “my own free will,” and everybody agrees these guys wrecked their own futures by getting involved. No one has been criminally charged, all seven deny wrongdoing, and the allegations are unproven in any court.
• Jay Stratton tells Bret Baier we’re not alone. Mike says the guy who doesn’t blink sounds rehearsed and the black triangle sounds like “one of ours” (the A-12 “Dorito”). Brooks has visited 20+ “anti-gravity” labs and seen zero lift. Steve would break him in an interrogation. I didn’t buy Grusch, and I don’t buy this one either. I just can’t see his motive. Plus Mike’s upcoming Las Vegas and Pahrump appearances.
• Susan Dell at the Trump Accounts event. The Dells pledged $6.25 billion and the internet fixated on her face. Bad surgery, not an alien. She seems like a nice lady doing a nice thing, and it’s kind of a shame people are ripping on her looks.
